Jenny and Maz's wedding day was filled with history, sentiment, and numerous tributes to the past. They were married in the same church that Jenny's parents had wed in years earlier, and followed with a celebration at her childhood home. The couple made their invitations, just as Jenny's parents had. Her choice of a 1940's inspired dress was just one more way of honoring those that have shown them what lasting love looks like!

The Goals: From Bride Jenny - We wanted our wedding to be simple, and we didn't want to be stressed. It’s such a special time and should be enjoyed, rather than worrying about things that don’t matter in the bigger picture. It was also important to have really good food and fun music, so we could dance into the early hours.

The Vision: We wanted it to have a bit of a vintage feel. It was a country wedding, with the reception in the garden. The marquee had bare floorboards, the ceiling was lined with fairy lights and we used lots of flowers from the garden so it had a rustic feel. It was exactly what we had wanted with beautiful light and splashes of colour on the long rectangular tables! Eunice Power catered for the wedding and people are still talking about how delicious the food was. My friend Hanna made the cake which was awesome – it was red with white piping, and had chocolate biscuit cake inside! A delicious work of art!

The Look: My wedding dress was from The Vintage Wedding Dress Company in London, and was inspired by the 1940’s. It was satin with a cowl neckline and scoop back, and had detachable lace scalloped sleeves and a puddle train. It was very fitted bu The bridesmaid dresses I found in different shops – ranging from Valentino to H&M! The junior bridesmaids are from Mini Boden. A lovely lady named Katie Carter made my veil in London. I wanted really soft tulle with a delicate lace trim. What she made was stunning, and just what I wanted.

The Moments: A special moment for us was when my brother Charlie, who was MC’ing, announced us into the marquee. We walked in surrounded by all our favourite people - everyone grinning and clapping and cheering…a pretty special moment!
The best bit of advice we were given was to, every couple of hours, take a step back, just the two of us, and take it all in because it’s all over before you know it.
